Grips Update

Ok, well first off, my buddy from the local scooter club, Rick... offered to help me with the install of the new grips. Everything looked like a go once we got the end weights off. But.... as with everything, there must be a something that goes not as planned. We were about ready to install the new grips and noticed they are too big. They are the 1" and I need the 7/8" . Now i knew this when i ordered, and on the ebay listing it said 7/8" but it also said 1" I read on the forums that I needed part number 6240 and that is what I got. So I don't know if the part number is 6240 for both sizes or not but the 1" bars are not what I need. So now, I have 3 days before I leave for my trip and need to find some 7/8" grips. I cut the old grips off and for the time being I zip tied the old ones back on. This however is not going to work for a 2000 mile trip. So This morning i'm on a mission to locate and purchase new grips.

If anyone has 1" bars and is interested, I'll sell these grips for $50 they retail for around $75 I will have pictures posted sometime today.
