So, what's the deal with the ADV stickers? It's sorta like a club, or a fraternity. It could mean a fellow inmate (what members of ADV are called) see's your sticker and comes over for a chat. Or, a fellow inmate passing by on the road might give you the infamous ADV salute, that's kinda like a secret hand shake :-) If you are stranded and a fellow inmate see's your sticker, you can guarantee assistance, and maybe a place to stay if needed. I hope I never need assistance, but it's good to know thousands of inmates in each state are only a post away.
